5 Mukhi vs 7 Mukhi Rudraksha: Which One Should You Wear?
Understand the traditional properties of authentic Nepal Rudraksha beads and why the 7 Mukhi is associated with Goddess Lakshmi’s blessing.
Rudraksha beads are classified by their natural faces (mukhi). Each type is traditionally associated with a deity and a planet.
5 Mukhi Rudraksha
Associated with Lord Shiva (Kalagni Rudra) and Jupiter. It is the most common and is suitable for almost everyone — often worn for calm, focus and meditation.
7 Mukhi Rudraksha
Associated with Goddess Mahalakshmi and Saturn. It is traditionally worn for financial stability and during Saturn periods.
Wearing guidelines
- Choose genuine beads with clear natural lines; ask for a lab or X-ray report for rare mukhis.
- Energise with “Om Namah Shivaya” before first wearing, preferably on a Monday.
- Remove before sleeping and keep the bead clean and dry.
