A Tradition of Authenticity & Empirical Wisdom
“Astrology is not an instrument of fear or fatalism—it is a cosmic weather forecast that grants you foresight to prepare, adapt, and succeed.”
Astrologer Amit Roy was born into a family deeply steeped in ancient Vedic learning in West Bengal. From an early age, he demonstrated an innate fascination with celestial bodies, Sanskrit scriptures, and the mathematical harmony underlying the cosmos. Under the mentorship of revered traditional acharyas in Varanasi and Haridwar, he spent over a decade studying classical texts including the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Jaimini Upadesha Sutras, Bhrigu Samhita, and Saravali.
Amit Roy complemented his traditional Gurukul education with modern academic rigor. He earned his Master's Degree in Vedic Sciences and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Jyotishya Shastra, graduating as a Gold Medalist. His doctoral thesis focused on the calculation of planetary Dasha-transit interactions and their correlation with major life events.
Our Purpose & Mission
“My goal with Soubhagya is to strip away the superstitions and fear-mongering that often cloud astrology. Every birth chart is a unique blueprint. When interpreted with accuracy and compassion, it empowers you to make informed decisions, choose auspicious timings (Mahurat), and align with your true potential.”
Bridging Ancient Wisdom with Modern Science
In his daily practice, Astrologer Amit Roy uses high-precision astronomical calculations based on the Swiss Ephemeris, so every planet's degree in your natal chart (Janma Kundli) and divisional charts (D9 Navamsha, D10 Dashamsha, D7 Saptamsha) is accurate.
As a certified gemologist, he advocates that gemstones are not magic charms but natural minerals used as traditional remedies. Every gemstone recommended at Soubhagya is laboratory tested for natural origin and treatments.
